Under the leadership of our Head of Dispute Resolution, Kyriakos Karatsis, we successfully represented the Respondent in a High Net Worth (HNW) divorce case before the Family Court of Limassol. The case involved a complex jurisdictional challenge under EU Regulation 2201/2003 (Brussels II bis).

Following detailed legal arguments, the Court held that it lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter, ruling that the appropriate forum for adjudicating the matrimonial dispute is the German Courts. Consequently, the claim was dismissed in its entirety, and legal costs were awarded in our client’s favour.
