Currently, Cyprus citizens wishing to travel to the United States even for a short three days need to apply for a non-immigrant travel visa. Despite the widespread press reports that Cyprus has been added to the Visa Waiver Program, these reports are false. While progress continues to be made, Cyprus has not yet met all of the threshold requirements for admission to the Visa Waiver Program.

The Visa Waiver Programme allows citizens from states who have entered it to travel to the Unites States for tourism or for any business reasons up to 90 days without having to go through visa procedures at the Embassy.
