The government of Cyprus announced yesterday the Council of Ministers’ decision to abolish the Cyprus Investment Programme (CIP) in its current form. The programme will be abolished from November 1st.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers took place on 13.10.2020 after Al Jazeera’s revelations. The proposal for the abolition of the CIP was based on the long term flaws and the abusive exploitation of its provisions.
